Syracuse, NY, August 12, 2009 - Polaris Library Systems, a leading provider of library-automation technology, announced today that Baltimore County Public Library has selected the Polaris Integrated Library System (ILS). The Polaris ILS will replace the library's TLC CARL system.

Baltimore County Public Library offers patrons a variety of programs that encourage early literacy, summer reading, and library use by K-12 students, as well as information literacy. With over 480,000 patrons and 1.5 million items in the collection, the library services a large geographic area with its extensive materials.
