Syracuse, NY, September 8, 2009 - Polaris Library Systems, a leading provider of library automation technology, announced today that Iberia Parish Library in Louisiana has selected the Polaris Integrated Library System (ILS). "A major factor in our decision to migrate to the Polaris ILS was the company's reputation for customer service and support," said library director Kathy Miles. "We are confident that Polaris will provide us with outstanding solutions for our staff and patrons." The Polaris ILS will replace the library's Dynix Classic system. Iberia Parish implemented its current system in 1984. The library, an early adapter of technology, was one of the first Dynix (now SirsiDynix) customers. "Polaris has a long history serving public libraries in the state of Louisiana," said Polaris President and CEO Bill Schickling. "We're excited that Iberia Parish is joining the Polaris family." ### About Iberia Parish Library: Since its establishment in 1947, the Iberia Parish Library has expanded to eight branches throughout the parish, with a total collection of over 210,000 volumes.
