“It's great to be able to customize the Polaris checkout screen with patron data elements of our choice.  It maximizes the efficiency of the checkout process.  And with 15 agencies circulating over 7.1 million items per year, it matters.”

- Eva Calcagno, Manager, Washington County Cooperative Library Services, Oregon

Iberia Parish Library Selects Polaris ILS

Syracuse, NY, September 8, 2009 - Polaris Library Systems, a leading provider of library automation technology, announced today that Iberia Parish Library in Louisiana has selected the Polaris Integrated Library System (ILS).

"A major factor in our decision to migrate to the Polaris ILS was the company's reputation for customer service and support," said library director Kathy Miles. "We are confident that Polaris will provide us with outstanding solutions for our staff and patrons."

The Polaris ILS will replace the library's Dynix Classic system. Iberia Parish implemented its current system in 1984. The library, an early adapter of technology, was one of the first Dynix (now SirsiDynix) customers.

"Polaris has a long history serving public libraries in the state of Louisiana," said Polaris President and CEO Bill Schickling. "We're excited that Iberia Parish is joining the Polaris family."
