Syracuse, NY, January 14, 2010 - Polaris Library Systems, a leading provider of library automation technology, announced today that they will debut their mobile PAC at the ALA Midwinter Conference in Boston (January 15 - 18). Polaris's mobile PAC is compatible with the web browsers found on a broad range of mobile devices, including the BlackBerry, Droid, and Apple iPhone. This approach enables patrons with popular mobile devices to easily access their library's catalog. "It is more important than ever for libraries to reach out to their patrons in a way that connects the library to their daily lives," said Polaris Chief Information Officer Jim Mieczkowski. "By offering a mobile PAC, patrons will have the ability to access the library catalog easily and from anywhere." Following its debut at the ALA Midwinter Conference, the Polaris mobile PAC will release later this year. About Polaris Library Systems:
