Polaris Library Systems Welcomes New Team Members in Customer Support & MIS

Syracuse, NY, June 25, 2009 - Polaris Library Systems, a leading provider of library automation technology, has expanded staffing in customer support.

Peter Brisson comes to Polaris as a member of the customer technical support team. Peter has over twelve years experience in various IT-related fields, including Microsoft server management, LAN/WAN, VPN, and firewall administration. Previously, Peter worked as a network administrator at Vergason Technology, Inc., and most recently as a senior network administrator for Cactus Commerce Inc. Peter holds a degree in electronic computer and networks, a MCTS credential, and A+ Certification.

Jeff Crandell joins Polaris as a member of the customer technical support team. Jeff has worked in the information technology field for over eighteen years, the last six as a consultant to many small businesses, school districts, and public libraries in Central New York, where he installed and supported Windows-based applications. Jeff received his degree in electrical engineering from the State University of New York at Alfred.

Paul Morrell comes to Polaris as a site manager with the Customer Operations department. Paul brings to Polaris over ten years of experience working in the roles of librarian and director, including Director at Fairmount Community Library, and most recently, Adult Programming Librarian at Baldwinsville Public Library. Paul received his Master of Library Science from Syracuse University.

Bruce Randall joins Polaris as a member of the MIS department. Prior to Polaris, Bruce held various technical project management positions, including oversight of national data centers for NaviSite, Inc., and of broadband network build-outs and upgrades for AppliedTheory Corporation in New York. Bruce holds a BA in History/Economics from SUNY Cortland, and is currently working on a MS in Project Management at Penn State University.
