Syracuse, NY, October 10, 2008 - Polaris Library Systems, a leading provider of library automation technology, announced today a partnership agreement with TALKINGtech. This partnership provides Polaris ILS customers full access to TALKINGtech's i-tiva suite of notification solutions. The agreement includes TALKINGtech's i-tiva PREMIUM service, which contains outbound communication via voice and text messaging (SMS), as well as 24x7 inbound services for patrons to renew, review and cancel items. The partnership also includes access to the i-tiva LITE system, a communication system designed for smaller libraries. Both systems are available for on-site installation or as a service. In addition to these systems, Polaris customers can also access TALKINGtech's i-tiva RECOVERY Service, a personal voice service designed to help libraries recover valuable overdue materials and fees.
