Polaris Library Systems Welcomes New Team Members

Syracuse, NY, July 16, 2009 - Polaris Library Systems, a leading provider of library automation technology, has announced new staff in customer support, implementations, data migration, and training.

Lisa Carr joins the Polaris customer operations department as a site manager. Lisa comes to Polaris from the Seymour Public Library District in Auburn, NY, where she served as librarian. Prior, she held positions as reference librarian at Gray Public Library in Gray, ME, and library assistant at Baxter Memorial Library in Gorham, ME. Lisa received her Master of Library Science from Simmons College in Boston.

Stephanie Falkner comes to Polaris as a data migration specialist for the implementation services department. Prior, Stephanie was a data analyst for HSBC Bank USA and a securities data analyst for Putnam Investments. Most recently, Stephanie served as an EDI assistant in the IT department for WYNIT.

Susan Hansen joins Polaris as a trainer with the implementation services group. Prior, Susan served as information services librarian and adult programs coordinator at Broome County Public Library, and as information librarian for member library Vestal Public Library. She is also a member of the New York Library Association and of the Literacy Volunteers of America. Susan received her Master of Library Science and Public Librarian Certificate from SUNY University at Albany.

Paul Hoffman comes to Polaris as an implementation manager. Prior, Paul was network coordinator for Nebraska's Online Computer Library Center and library systems engineer for Dynix. He has also served as strategic accounts trainer and educational liaison for R.R. Bowker. Paul earned his Master of Library Science degree from the School of Library and Information Studies at the University of Wisconsin.
